Great stay

1

We did an overnight stay on the way back from Halong Bay. Our guide was Cuc who was very knowledgable and welcoming. We cycled around the village and tried our hand at fish farming and rice-making, met a number of villagers and enjoyed a lovely dinner. The accommodation was really nice too, large and comfortable room. One improvement could be a separate toilet as opposed to just a curtain to separate it! Would definitely recommend doing this it’s very interesting.

S éloigner des hordes de touristes pour 24h

1

What an experience!

1

I cannot say enough good things about this village and the people who call it home. Upon arrival, I immediately felt as if I was being treated as family. There was a full itinerary planned which my fabulous guide, Gi, had no problem putting on hold for me to take a much needed nap. Once the tour/activities started I was grinning from ear to ear playing and hanging out with the locals. From start to finish I had an amazing time that all went by wayyyy too fast. If you would like to see how the local people live in the smaller villages I cannot recommend this enough! Something I will never forget.

Excellent overnight stay at Yen Duc village

1

We spent two days at Yen Duc village. I can’t believe how good it was. We rode around the village on bikes and met some locals from the community. We even played badminton against a couple of 70 year old women at the local center. They beat us. It was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi and all the touristy areas. Our guide Na, was great at explaining every question we asked of her. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend the overnight stay at this Village.

best part of my trip

1

We spent one night in Yen Duc Village and it was a fantastic experience. The village is very pretty with rice fields and mountains. The people of Yen Duc were the friendliest people I have ever met. We got to meet local farmers and talk to them about farming, religion and rice production. Our guide, Gi , was great and answered our many questions. She was the perfect host and instantly made us feel at home. Staff was very nice. We loved this tour ! A definite must when visiting Halong Bay. Thank you, Gi!

One of our Vietnam highlights!

1

We booked the 1 night village home stay after our cruise with Indochina Junk. We weren’t sure what to expect but were so glad that we booked the stay! Our accommodation was nice, we were looked after by the charismatic Mr.Shan in his house. Our tour guide was Na who was fantastic. She was very interesting and made us feel welcome and at home. The activities are varied and we enjoyed cycling around the village and seeing some day to day tasks – shopping at the market sounds simple but was very interesting. We loved the basket fishing! It was great stopping and meeting people in the village and chatting to them – Na was always great at translating if we needed it. Highly recommended!

Great trip!

We came to this village through our cruise company Indochina Junk. Viethouse – the houses we stayed in were based on traditional Vietnamese architecture, our room was extremely comfortable We were welcomed by Gi – our lovely guide. She was fantastic and amazing, smile all the time. Gi helped us understood more about Tet in Vietnam. The village was beautiful to cycle through, everyone in the village was so welcoming and the food was excellent. We visited the local homes, the market, caught fish by hand from a local fish farm pond, did some hands on broom making, We had a special show of some traditional folk songs, sang together. I like Men’s voice. She has the beautiful voice! We will never forget our time in Yen Duc and our Gi. We would love to visit again!!

An amazing experience – not to be missed

1

What a wonderful way to end our Indochina Junk tour. We were surprised at the high standard of the accommodation which has an amazing bath…The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful- it feels special after the constant noise and chaos of the cities. A little heaven. We were the only ones to stay but there are only another 3 rooms so the place never gets too crowded. Thuy was our guide. She speaks very good english and is terribly knowledgeable on just about everything. Special thank you to Thuy who accompanied us in all the activities and visits. My husband particularly loved the fishing in muddy pond and I loved the cycling and visiting locals. I can see how kids would really enjoy this experience too. Food is amazing but a lot…
Will visit again for a bit longer.
